Job Title: Vehicle Assembly

Job Description:
The Vehicle Assembly employee is responsible for ensuring that newly assembled vehicles meet quality standards and are ready for delivery to customers. They perform thorough inspections, make necessary adjustments, and ensure that all components are installed correctly according to manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Pre-Delivery Inspection: Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections on newly assembled vehicles to verify that all components, systems, and accessories are installed correctly and functioning properly. Fill out all required documentation.
  2. Assembly and Installation: Assemble vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines and specifications. Install and adjust components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Fill out all required documentation.
  3. Quality Assurance: Inspect motorcycles for defects, damages, or irregularities in components, paint, or finish. Identify and address any issues to ensure that motorcycles meet quality standards before delivery to customers.
  4. Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical issues. Make necessary adjustments and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of pre-delivery inspections, assembly procedures, and any repairs or adjustments made. Complete all required documentation and paperwork according to dealership or manufacturer guidelines.
  6. Collaboration: Coordinate with service dispatch to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of vehicles to customers. Communicate any issues or concerns regarding vehicle quality or availability to service dispatch personnel.
  7. Adherence to Safety Regulations: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, with specific experience in assembly and inspection preferred.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used for troubleshooting and testing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform precise and accurate work.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Valid motorcycle endorsement and/or relevant certifications preferred.
Working Conditions:
The Vehicle PDI Assembly Mechanic will primarily work in a workshop or service bay environment, with occasional work outdoors as needed. They may be required to stand, stoop, kneel, and lift heavy objects regularly. The position may involve occasional weekend or evening hours depending on business needs.

Salary and Benefits: $18 to $24hr for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and employee discounts on motorcycles or accessories may be available.
Job Title: Lot Porter

Job Description:
The Lot Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the dealership. They are responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are arranged properly, assisting customers with locating vehicles, and supporting all dealership departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lot Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and dealership by regularly sweeping, picking up debris, and arranging dealership inventory in designated areas.
  2. Vehicle Presentation: Ensure that vehicles are properly positioned and aligned for optimal display. Keep vehicles clean and presentable by washing and detailing as needed.
  3. Assist Customers: Greet customers and direct customers to appropriate staff when necessary.
  4. Vehicle Movement: Safely move vehicles within the lot as directed by management or sales staff. Assist with the transportation of vehicles to and from service areas.
  5. Inventory Management: Assist in conducting regular inventory checks to ensure accurate counts of vehicles on the lot. Report any discrepancies or damages to management promptly.
  6. Support Sales Team: Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience. Retrieve vehicles for test rides and assist with paperwork and documentation as needed.
  7. Adhere to Safety Regulations: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. Properly handle and store equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
 
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the vehicle industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions: The Lot Porter will primarily work outdoors in various weather conditions. They may be required to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects regularly. The position may involve occasional weekend or evening hours depending on business needs.
Salary and Benefits: Salary for this position will be $16 to $20hr commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits such as discounts on vehicles or accessories available.
